Mathilde Hary has explored the possibility of using highly nonlinear optical fibers as a platform of optical computing based on the concept of extreme learning machines. Performance of the system were evaluated under different input parameters. considering both task-independent and task- specific performance metrics. The findings offer a promising avenue for utilizing optical fibers as an optical computing platform. The work was carried out in collaboration with Prof. Daniel Brunner and J. M Dudley from the University of Marie and Louis Pasteur in Besançon, France.
