Using a simulation model to evaluate the limits of optical computing

Together with our collaborators  Andrei Ermolaev andProf.  John M. Dudley from the University of Marie and Louis Pasteur in Besançon, France, we explored how nonlinear fiber propagation can be exploited  for the design of extreme learning machines. The study investigates the impact of dispersion and nonlinear regimes as well as the sensitivity to noise of the extreme learning machine system.
