3D Media Group has coordinated an MSCA European Joint Doctorate proposal titled ‘Plenoptic Imaging (PLENOPTIMA)’. The proposal has received high evaluation marks and the European Commission has initiated the Grant Agreement preparation.
Plenoptima will advance the plenoptic imaging theory and set the foundations for developing future imaging systems that handle visual information in fundamentally new ways, augmenting the human perceptual, creative, and cognitive capabilities. The project is due to start in January 2021 and will establish new multi-university doctoral degree programmes in the area of plenoptic imaging.
