The Centre strengthens the global public health research agenda at TAU by bringing together the diverse and multidisciplinary expertise of over 60 faculty and staff at HES and MET, representing the fields of epidemiology, health and social policy, health promotion, social and behavioral sciences. Our seven research groups are actively addressing global health issues and challenges through research activities in over 20 countries around the globe. In addition, researchers affiliated with the WHO Collaborating Centre at HES analyze and support global health policy actions, content, and implementation.

High-quality international academic education and research training programs
We contribute to public health training, supervision, and mentoring at the participating faculties (HES, SOC, MET) and the wider TAU. Essential to our Centre is its seamless links to teaching and doctoral training. We provide master level (Public and Global Health, PGH) and doctoral level degree programs (International Doctoral Program in Epidemiology and Public Health, IPPE) for qualified students. Our education and training activities support research collaboration and capacity building in both High and Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).
Building sustainable collaborative networks to translate our research findings into public health action
The Centre connects the TAU global public health research community with our active research and training networks across the globe. We collaborate on transdisciplinary research ideas and projects, delivering scientific excellence and societal impact by tackling relevant scientific issues and building sustainable research capacity to address global health policy challenges and national and local health policy concerns, particularly in LMICs.
