Tampere University is inviting applications for a Doctoral Researcher position in Industrial Sales within the Industrial Engineering and Management Unit, Faculty of Management and Business.
The doctoral research will focus on the intersection of industrial B2B sales, environmental sustainability, and digitalization. Possible research topics include how sustainability and circular economy developments are changing industrial sales and customer buying behavior, how companies communicate the economic and environmental value of sustainable solutions, and how digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital platforms, digital product passports, and IoT can support this transformation.
The selected doctoral researcher will join the Industrial Sales research group within the Industrial Engineering and Management Unit and will be connected to the Center of Industrial Sales Excellence (CISE). The position is located in the Faculty of Management and Business at Tampere University. The doctoral research will be supervised by Associate Professor Pia Hautamäki and Professor Leena Aarikka-Stenroos.

The position is initially offered for two years, with the intention of extending the employment to support completion of the four-year doctoral degree. The expected starting date is November 1, 2026, or as mutually agreed.
