The Juliana von Wendt Foundation has awarded its grant to Hanna Vuorenpää for replacing animal-derived antibodies

The Juliana von Wendt Foundation has awarded its grant to Hanna Vuorenpää, PhD in cell biology, at the Tampere University to the research project on animal-free antibodies.

The grant has been awarded to the project which aims to test animal-free, phage-screened antibodies and compare them with antibodies of animal origin. The aim of the project is to train researchers in phage display technology and to replace animal-derived antibodies with animal-free antibodies at the Center of Excellence of Body-on-Chip Research at the Tampere University.
