Impressive international collaboration resulted in a recently published chapter by Minina, Elena; Piattoeva, Nelli; Vera G. Centeno; Xingguo Zhou & Helena Hinke Dobrochinski Candido “Transnational policy borrowing and national interpretations of educational quality in Russia, China, and Brazil” in an edited volume by Maia Chankseliani and Iveta Silova “Comparing Post-Socialist Transformations: Education in Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union.” The chapter shows how seemingly convergent policies of education quality take different re-contextualized forms in the three countries studied, emphasizing the importance of historical and cultural sensitivity in comparative research on educational transformations.
