A BCR symposium in the 2016 FERA Conference on Education

The members of the BCR research project held a symposium in the 2016 FERA Conference on Education. The theme of the conference was “Unequalising World – Equalising School?”. The BCR symposium contributed to the theme by bringing in results from the ongoing, large-scale research project on quality assurance and evaluation in Brazil, China, and Russia.

The focus on the symposium was on how quality assurance and evaluation are reshaping central-local relations in the three countries. The symposium was chaired by Risto Rinne (University of Turku, BCR team China leader), and the discussant was Martin Thrupp from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.
