New research project on transnational knowledge networks in higher education policymaking

EduKnow’s members received a research project funding from the Academy of Finland. The new project will explore transnational knowledge networks in higher education policymaking in Finland and the EU.

The aim of the project is to analyse the structure and operation of transnational networks, and the role and soft power of these networks in the use and selection of knowledge in higher education policymaking. The project’s interest lies in understanding how Finnish higher education policymaking functions in the EU context. To achieve this, it combines network analysis, interviews, and observational enquiry.

The project PI is Jaakko Kauko and researchers Katri Eeva and Jarmo Kallunki. The funding period is 1 September 2021 until August 2025.
