About

FICAN MID, Sisä-Suomen syöpäkeskus in Finnish, is one of the five regional cancer centers in Finland. It is part of the national cancer center network. FICAN Mid coordinates and develops cancer care and cancer research in its’ area. It is formed by four contracting partners: The Wellbeing Services Counties of Pirkanmaa, Kanta-Häme, South Ostrobothnia and Tampere University. The central part of FICAN Mid is Tays Cancer Centre that received a European quality certificate (OECI Cancer Centre) in 2019. FICAN Mid is an administrational part of The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa.

FICAN Mid started to operate on 1.9.2018. The actions of FICAN Mid is directed by the steering group.
