13.4.2026 Intersectionality Research Network’s online Spring meeting

The Intersectionality in Research Network (InReNet) brings together researchers and doctoral students from different disciplinary backgrounds at Tampere University to explore and develop intersectionality as a theoretical approach and research practice. We also promote university teaching that takes into account the experiences and positions of different marginalized groups in society, and we collaborate with such groups both within and outside academia.

Since 2021, the network has organized seminars, workshops, and other events, as well as teaching on intersectionality. We also aim to foster discussion on issues related to equality at our university together with representatives of the university administration.

Over the past year, we have focused on advancing the publication projects that have emerged from the network’s activities. Now, however, it is time to meet again, welcome new members—researchers, doctoral students, and master’s students interested in intersectionality—and plan our activities for the 2026–2027 academic year.
