The research group of metal and lightweight structures studies steel and timber structures in normal and elevated temperatures.
Research with an impact
The research group combines theoretical and practical aspects of timber, steel and hybrid structures including fire design, structural acoustics and structural optimization. We adopt experimental as well as simulation methods in our research work. We co-operate with domestic and international stakeholders in order to bring our contribution to the global and local challenges in the field of civil engineering.
