We are pleased to announce that our research proposal ‘Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Expertise: Ethics, Human Judgement and Decision Making in the AI-Driven Society’ (AIFE) got funding from the INSO Platform. The INSO (the Intelligent Society) Platform is an Academy of Finland funded profiling action that seeks to strengthen cooperation on Tampere University strategy axis “society” – “technology”. The aim is to contribute to the development of sustainable and equal, or intelligent society through interdisciplinary cooperation.
The AIFE project analyses emerging ethical, political, ecological and social issues in work contexts, where experts are to utilise novel smart technologies in their decision-making processes. This interdisciplinary initiative brings together researchers from philosophy, social sciences and technological sciences to develop the ethics of AI technology and to produce novel ethical standards for responsible AI technologies in professional work.
