Business Cases & Online Learning (TeC@ses) – Newsletter 7 (03/26)

Positive impressions of the TeC@ses tool

The feedback from teachers on the TeC@ses tool is encouraging: The tool received consistently positive reviews;  a welcome sign that the approach of combining didactic and digital competencies for teaching with case studies is proving successful in practice.

The asynchronous e-learning approach is particularly significant here: Asynchronous e-learning, as with the TeC@ses tool, enables teachers to continue their education at a time that suits their daily routine, without fixed appointments or travel. Teachers can work through, repeat, and consolidate content at their own pace. Especially in vocational education, where teachers not only teach several subjects but often also oversee several educational programmes, this flexibility is not a luxury but simply more realistic. It allows professional development to be meaningfully integrated into everyday school life.

Last but not least, low-threshold access reduces teachers’ barriers to engaging with new approaches and digital tools, thus strengthening their lifelong learning.

Current status of the TeC@ses project

Over the turn of the year, more than 120 teachers from Belgium, Czechia, Germany and Finland evaluated the TeC@ses tool. We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who supported us with their feedback from practical experience. This feedback will help us develop a tool that meets the requirements of everyday teaching in business education in the long term.

In addition to evaluating the tool, the evaluation also explored the attitudes of business teachers towards using e-learning and case studies in their teaching.

Herewith, another preview:

In May, the final of the four project meetings is to be conducted in person, this time in Cologne. These meetings are an important factor in the project’s success, as working together in person enables us to address topics that may be difficult to implement online. In keeping with the spirit of Erasmus+, the focus is also on cultural exchange in order to bring European cooperation to life. It strengthens partnerships and fosters long-term sustainable project outcomes.

The newsletter will be published every four months. If you would like to speed up the time until the next newsletter, you are welcome to explore the homepage for the TeC@ses project with lots of up-to-date and helpful information.
