Rintala’s dissertation: Mutual Understanding and Cooperation Support Work-Based Learning in Vocational Education and Training

Work-based learning (WBL) is central approach in vocational education and training (VET). WBL considers needs of working life and utilizes workplace learning (WPL) environments. Work-based VET requires mutual understanding and cooperation as different expectations from society and its communities and students are targeted at education. In her dissertation, Heta Rintala examined apprenticeship, WPL and experiences related to WPL in VET.
