The Finnish Journal of Professional and Vocational Education (AKAKK) will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2023

The scientific peer reviewed journal AKAKK celebrates its anniversary. The editorial board of the journal, led by Professor Nokelainen, visited Tallinn University on 14.09.2023 as guests of Professor Krista Loogma and Rector Priit Reiska.

Professor Emeritus Pekka Ruohotie founded the journal in 1999 and served as its  Editor-in-Chief until 2008. Professor Nokelainen has been Editor-in-Chief since 2009. AKAKK is Publication Forum level 1 scientific peer-reviewed journal that has four issues per year. Articles on the journal are related to the topics of professional and vocational education (e.g., technology-enhanced learning and development of expertise and professional identity in the contexts of vocational education and working life).

The editorial board of the journal, led by Professor Nokelainen, visited Tallinn University on 14.09.2023 as guests of Professor Krista Loogma and Rector Priit Reiska. As a result of the seminar, researchers from the University of Tallinn, under the guidance of Professor Loogma, will design an international thematic issue of the journal on various topics in vocational education and training.
