Protein Nanosystems

The Protein Nanosystems group investigates how external stimuli — such as mechanical forces or light — regulate protein structure and function. By combining protein engineering, biophysical tools, and cell‑based models, we study how proteins sense their physical environment and respond to its changes. Inspired by the diversity of protein regulation in nature, we also create new stimuli‑responsive protein systems for basic research and biotechnology applications.
