The lecture by the German architect will unfold the concept of Smart Living Labs through some examples of the latest works by the architecture office on university campuses. The projects explore the adaptability of multifunctional spaces for knowledge and social interaction, where encounters allow campuses’ permeability and openness to the city. The lecture is held in the context of an architectural design course where students are working on architectural ideas and devising solutions for a new Research Lab on the Hervanta campus in Tampere, Finland.
Together with the Spanish architect Juan Herreros, Jens Richter is partner at estudio Herreros, the internationally renowned architecture and urban design office based in Madrid. Estudio Herreros has in its portfolio works in Spain, Norway, France, Morocco, Argentina, Colombia or Mexico, among other countries, having recently completed the construction of the Munch Museum in Oslo, Norway.
The public talk is being held at the Faculty of Built Environment, starting at 10:15 at the RO107A auditorium space, Rakennustalo building, Hervanta campus. Welcome!
