The winning proposal ‘Lyhty’ (lantern) by Lahdelma & Mahlamäki architects for the Matinkylä Upper Secondary School in Espoo includes a sports hall and a roof yard in addition to learning environments, consisting of both classrooms and more open, free learning environments that encourage students to discuss and interact in an informal way.
