AI Hub Tampere arranged a data collection day for Ponsse. AI Hub Tampere presented the sensors Tampere University has available for company test use free of charge. Ponsse explored the possibilities to collect test data with the test equipment. Tests were conducted both indoors inside TAU laboratory facilities and outdoors on a sunny day and in a forest. The photos show one of the doctoral researchers of Autonomous Mobile Machine group, Tuomas Välimäki during the sensor to sensor extrinsic calibration process and TAU wheel loader during data collection.
According to Ponsse representative Anwar Sagar, it was really a good experience in getting different sensors mounted on the same platform and connected to the same computer. Ponsse enjoyed the possibilities to collect data from each sensor.
