COVID-19 in the margins of society (CoMa) project studies homelessness, food insecurity and community as social determinants of health.
Answers to the main question ”What has the COVID-19 pandemic meant for the homeless, people in breadlines, and the clients of low-threshold services?” are sought in four sub-projects conducted by University of Tampere, University of Helsinki, Diak and Porin Sininauha ry.
The focus of the studies will be in generating new knowledge for assessing the equal treatment and inclusion of most vulnerable people in the different margins of society. Also, the resilience of the people in the target group and the systems providing aid will be explored.
For our part, Lauri Kokkinen is involved in the project as the consortium’s co-PI. More information here: https://projects.tuni.fi/koma/
