Advancing Health in All Policies (HiAP) strategy is our centre’s one of the main activity areas.
The center operates based on the broad definition of Health in All Policies, which includes:
- Health in All Policies is an approach to public policies across sectors that systematically takes into account the health and health systems implications of decisions, seeks synergies, and avoids harmful health impacts, in order to improve population health and health equity.
- A HiAP approach is founded on health-related rights and obligations. It emphasizes the consequences of public policies on health determinants, and aims to improve the accountability of policy-makers for health impacts at all levels of policy-making
We work with local, national, regional and global public and civil society organisations, but our research is independent from government institutions and the work of the centre seeks to provide research and analysis for policy engagement, understanding health impacts, means and tools for HiAP and evaluation of different ways to implement of Health in All Policies and to address social determinants of health at local, national and global levels.
We have collected key discussion and publications on Health in All Policies.
