CNESS Summer School 2024: Call for applications

CNESS will host its third summer school in Tampere from June 10 – 16, 2024. The one-week intensive academic program covers various energy and energy security-related topics, including theoretical elements, practical training, and discussions. The free-of-charge course will also include onsite visits to energy facilities, professional guest lectures, a poster session and a social program. After selecting 20 international early-stage researchers and young professionals, CNESS now offers several places at the summer school for TUNI students (master’s or PhD) from all energy-related disciplines. The application deadline is February 28, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
CNESS aims to support the development of the students’ competencies in topics related to energy and climate neutrality. After the summer school, the participants will gain an understanding of the energy systems in their full complexity and in the light of current energy security-related challenges (e.g., policy, grid management, nuclear energy, etc.). In addition, we offer students access to a platform and network of researchers from different fields and backgrounds that will support their future careers in the area of energy research and beyond.
