2IMATCH homepage is online

The website of CNESS´ partner project 2IMATCH is online. The consortium examines how green electrification can deliver a more resilient energy system and society in an uncertain world disrupted by several human-made disasters and seemingly persistent global confrontations. Under the project leader Prof. Pami Aalto, Tampere University leads the consortium and has two research groups involved: the Politics Unit and the Industrial Engineering and Management Unit.
The other involved parties are the Finnish Environment Institute – SYKE (focus especially on the energy justice implications), the Finnish Institute of International Affairs – FIIA (comparative case studies, including analyses of current national transition policies), the Law School of the University of Eastern Finland – UEF, (international legal-political analyses, critical materials and a case study on China) and VTT Technical Research Ltd (modelling, technical resilience, and critical minerals).
2IMATCH is funded by the JUST ENERGY programme of the Strategic Research Council at the Research Council of Finland (2023-2026) and started in October 2023.
