In its June 2021 conference, EURAM (European Academy of Management) has awarded the distinguished status of EURAM Fellow to professor Miia Martinsuo from Tampere University, Industrial Engineering and Management. The EURAM Fellow status is awarded, by recommendation, to outstanding scholars who have an excellent reputation in the research community, made extraordinary contributions to the EURAM association, and can be expected to be leaders of the community for the future.
EURAM is the primary European association on management research. EURAM organizes an annual conference, Early career activities for post-doctoral researchers, a doctoral colloquium for doctoral researchers, a research leadership development program, and other activities for its Strategic Interest Groups (SIGs). Management researchers from over 60 countries all over the world participate in EURAM’s activities, and EURAM has over 1000 members. This and the past year, most activities have been organized virtually.
Professor Martinsuo has participated in EURAM’s activities for fifteen years. The most recently she has acted as the vice president of memberships in EURAM executive committee (2018-2021), national representative of Finland in EURAM executive board (2015-2021), mentor of the doctoral colloquium (2016-2021), and professional development support officer of the Project organizing SIG (2017-2021). She has additionally participated in the task force for planning the virtual conferences (2020-2021). Besides writing, presenting and peer reviewing conference papers, she has earlier engaged in various activities especially in the Project organizing SIG board (2010-2014) and also otherwise in organizing the SIG’s conference tracks, chairing conference sessions, and acting as a discussant for presented papers.
