A new paper Cultural reproduction in Finland: Symmetric intergenerational transmission of cultural orientations by Jarmo Kallunki has been published in Acta Sociologica. The article examines how cultural orientations (highbrow, popular, and crafts orientation) are transmitted from parents to children intergenerationally in Finland and shows with regression modeling that there are symmetric associations between respondent’s and parents’ cultural participation.
