My current research in the Collegium focuses on political aspirations of contemporary avant-garde and experimentalism. The question is whether the meaningful localization of universalistic avant-garde is possible and how this “other experimentalism” acts as a critique of both cosmopolitical late-modern avant-garde and liberal capitalistic regime. The question is posed within the case study of Estonian movement ethnofuturism and related phenomena.
