I received my Ph.D. in Psychology in 2011 from the University of Tampere. Since then, I have worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Human Information Processing Laboratory, University of Tampere, as well as in the Centre for Child and Family Studies in Leiden University in The Netherlands.

My main research interest is emotional development in childhood. At the moment, I devote most of my time to projects investigating the neural, genetic, and social foundations of emotion-processing, attachment, and social skills in infants and toddlers. In addition, I work in a project investigating the influence of the hormone oxytocin on parent-infant and grandparent-infant interactions. During my collegium period, I will work on the data and publications from these projects.
