My current research project
My postdoc project focuses on the legitimity of professionalism as a main principle to deliver core welfare state services. In my research, I observe professionalism in light of the current societal trends that emphasizes citizen co-production and new forms of citizen–professional partnerships in public (welfare) service production. The various roles of (active) citizens as clients, volunteers, and residents are an important aspect of the research, as I focus on the less examined, collaborative aspects of citizen–professional relations.
