A paper on distributed algorithms for removing links in directed networks was accepted to Network Science. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm which allows us to remove links while maintaining the strong-connectivity of a network without requiring the global network structure. The potential applications include stopping the spread of disease by controlling the interaction between people or cities in a country.
