Join the Narrare Research Community!
The aim of the Research Centre Narrare is to develop a unified narratological methodology for all fields engaged in narrative research. Narrare is updating its memberships for 2026 and, in this connection, offers interested scholars the opportunity to affiliate more clearly with the research centre.
Membership in the research centre is open to all researchers and teachers at least at the master’s level who are affiliated with Tampere University or collaborating with it, and whose research interests focus on Narrare’s core areas of study. These include:
-
- interdisciplinary narrative theory and analysis
- convention and invention in narratives
- narrative agency and positioning
- narrative, well-being, and dangers of storytelling.
Those interested in membership should submit an application containing a brief statement of justification and a description of their own research to the coordinator, Nanna Numento (nanna.numento[a]tuni.fi). Membership decisions are made by Narrare’s executive board.
Information on affiliated members will be collected both on the centre’s website and on the TUNICRIS system as part of an expert database. This supports the identification of suitable collaboration partners and enhances the visibility of current expertise and research in narrative studies.
