The first results of the WORKEE research project were presented at the event of The Finnish Work Environment Fund

The research meeting on November 28, organized by The Finnish Work Environment Fund, focused on emotions and emotional skills in the workplace.

Professor Petri Nokelainen presented WORKEE research project, which examines the development of expertise and related emotions in the context of work-based learning. The study provides new insights on companies in the field of technology as learning environments, as well as the connection between emotions, the development of expertise and career success. The research data will be collected in two companies in the field of technology during 2019-2020. In the second phase of the study, data is collected during the working days by a smart ring (arousal) and a smartphone application (self-reported emotion data), which is analyzed by multivariate methods. The project is funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund.
