The theme of the symposium is “Meaning in language, machines and humans” and its purpose is to bring together researchers from linguistics and related fields to examine meaning from different angles. The event is organised in cooperation with Plural.
These three scholars have agreed to give a plenary talk at the symposium:
- Ulla Vanhatalo, University of Helsinki
- Aarne Ranta, Chalmers tekniska högskola, Göteborg
- Katarzyna Jaszczolt, Cambridge University
The call for papers is open; the deadline for submitting proposals for presentations is April 22, 2025.
The symposium can be planned as part of students’ coursework for relevant course units.
