1.12.2023 SPM long-time member and alumnus Hao Zeng is new Associate Professor of Soft Matter Robotics at Tampere University Dr. Hao Zeng started as an Associate Professor (tenure-track) of Soft Matter Robotics at Tampere University in November 2023. His research deals with stimuli-responsive materials, soft robots and light driven micro robotics. News
29.11.2023 Check out our new article in Advanced Functional Materials on shape programming and reversible actuation of LCEs In the article we use shape memory effect for shape programming of liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) photoactuators. Supramolecular hydrogen-bond crosslinks introduced into the material enhance the mechanical properties of the LCE and endow it with the shape memory function while maintaining the ability to undergo reversible photothermal actuation under mild temperature stimulation.
