The VACCIM Research Center advances the prevention of infectious diseases through modern vaccines and develops new immunomodulatory treatments for inflammatory diseases by integrating modern technologies, unique sample collections, and multidisciplinary research.
Within Tampere University’s P4 medicine framework (Predictive, Preventive, Personalized, and Participatory), VACCIM primarily advances disease Prevention through vaccines, and supports Personalization of immunomodulatory treatments. The center collaborates closely with national and international partners, strengthening Tampere’s position at the forefront of vaccine development, immunology and immunopharmacology.
