VACCIM researchers Samu Luostarinen and Ilari Mäki-Opas received Doctoral Dissertation Awards

The University of Tampere Foundation and the Industrial Research Fund at Tampere University of Technology have granted Doctoral Dissertation Awards to researchers whose doctoral dissertations received the grade Approved with Distinction in 2025. VACCIM researchers Samu Luostarinen and Ilari Mäki-Opas received Doctoral Dissertation Awards.

The awards ceremony took place during Tampere University’s Annual Celebration, which was held in the Main Building on the city centre campus on Wednesday 15 April 2026. The awards were presented by Tapio Visakorpi, Vice President for Research at Tampere University, together with representatives of the University of Tampere Foundation and the Industrial Research Fund.
