Niloofar Okati: Connecting the Unconnected

In recent years, there has been significant commercial growth in massive low Earth orbit communication networks to ensure that every part of the planet is connected. However, the lack of analytical tools to evaluate their performance prevents leveraging their full potential and hinders their further development and integration into the existing cellular networks. M.Sc. Niloofar Okati in her doctoral thesis provides an analytical framework to study the performance of massive satellite networks which facilitates optimization and faster development of these networks.
