Our Center and the Global Network for Health in All Policies (GNHiAP) successfully hosted the webinar “Health in All Policies in a Changing World: Reflections and Tools for Action” on September 15, 2026. The event attracted approximately 200 registrations and brought together participants from around the world for a timely discussion on strengthening multisectoral action in changing political and institutional contexts.
The webinar introduced the Four Pillars Model of Health in All Policies and explored its interconnected dimensions: governance and accountability, leadership at all levels, ways of working and work methods, and resources, financing, and capabilities.
Marianne Jacques presented the Four Pillars as a flexible framework that countries and organizations can use to assess their current approaches and identify practical next steps. Country perspectives from Peter Beznec in Slovenia, Dr. Krisada Hanbunjerd in Thailand, and Lauri Kokkinen in Finland illustrated how HiAP can be adapted to different contexts while retaining its central principles.
The discussion emphasized that sustainable HiAP action depends not only on formal governance structures, but also on leadership, trust, institutional capacity, shared accountability, and long-term relationships across sectors. Participants also reflected on the value of international networks in sharing practical solutions and helping countries learn from one another.
Julian Fisher moderated the session and guided an engaging exchange between the speakers and participants. Closing remarks were provided by Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Chair of GNHiAP, followed by concluding reflections from Our Center’s c
oordinator Dr. Depo.
As the first GNHiAP webinar organized under the network’s new leadership, the event marked an important and encouraging start to the network’s renewed program of activities.
