A new paper on cultural tastes and social tolerance published in Poetics

Taru Lindblom published a paper “Growing openness or creeping intolerance? Cultural taste orientations and tolerant social attitudes in Finland, 2007–2018” in Poetics (JUFO classification 3). The aim of the study is to determine how cultural taste coincides with social tolerance. More precisely, the paper asks how three different cultural taste orientations (omnivorousness, univorousness and ‘categorical tolerance’) in the domain of music have changed between 2007 and 2018, how they associate with socio-political attitudes, and whether this relationship has changed.
