A new radio series, “In Search of the Finnish Lifestyle” by YLE Radio 1 (and YLE Areena), has now been published. In the episode 4, Semi from the Tampere Group for Sociology of Culture is interviewed on the relevance and meaning of cultural capital and cultural mobility in present-day Finland. The journalist is Jukka Kuosmanen.
The series will be nationally broadcasted by YLE Radio 1, once a week, starting from 13 August, but all the episodes are already available from YLE Areena streaming service: https://areena.yle.fi/audio/1-50582095 (the link goes directly to the episode 4).
In other episodes, there are also other people from Tampere University interviewed (such as Professor Risto Heiskala), so the whole series is strongly recommended! 🙂
