A working group formed around Insurgent Spatial Practices research collective and fema artists invites you to a workshop in Hiedanranta to test and develop methods for activating and understanding the embodied and experiential knowledge that we all have. For participating, you need no prior skills on the theme, your curiosity is enough. Workshop is organized as part of an intensive working period supported by TURNS seedfunding, that aims for new scientific openings and consolidating multidisciplinary cooperation relationships.
Workshop is organized Friday August 16th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hiedanranta. In the workshop we will explore three methods that focus on embodied moving and presence, in relation to spaces, other people and other beings around us. We will also discuss our learnings over a shared lunch that we offer. The broader aim of our work is to find ways for making embodied knowledge actionable for e.g. architects, city planners and citizens, to make our cities more livable and sustainable.
We will take maximum 15 participants, so please enroll by sending an e-mail to elina.alatalo@tuni.fi, with possible special diets you might have.
You can read more on the work in progress e.g. from here and here.
Waiting forward,
Elina, Hanna, Tuuti, Anna, Mia and Jaakko
