The experiential walk is part of the working group’s practice, with which it wants to support citizens in creating personal relationships with the district in transition.
See you on Saturday August 16th 2025 at 3 p.m. by the old water tower in Hiedanranta, next to the tram stop named Tehdas! The walk takes place on the edge of the Hiedanranta area and its duration is approximately 1 hour. Walk is organized as part of the Hiedanranta Garden Party, that is a yearly celebration of the developing area, now organised for the 1oth time!
Along with other public events to come, this walk belongs to the working group’s project that develops the joint practice of architectural research and activist dance, supported by the Finnish Cultural Foundation, the City of Tampere and the University of Tampere.
You can also follow us on Instagram as “paikantujat”. The working group is based on the collaboration of the fema artist group and Insurgent Spatial Practices research collective, added with dancer-filmmaker Mia Tiihonen and choreographer-ethnologist Jaakko Simola.
