Radical Care Evening Gathering // October 29 at Vastavirta-klubi with jazz by Hot Heros

How does radical care manifest in the city—and whose city is it? This gathering invites reflection on the possibilities and limitations of care in contemporary urban settings, especially in relation to space, activism, and ecological awareness. As part of the evening our collective's members participate into stage discussions with people who radically care for the city in practice. Event is set up by the Radical Care for the City organisers.

  • Time: 29 October 2025 at 18:30 onwards
  • Venue: Vastavirta Club (address Pispalan valtatie 39)
  • Vastavirta website: Vastavirta-Klubi
  • Free of charge; no pre-registraton required

We explore how self-organized initiatives and alternative cultural practices challenge dominant urban narratives and offer inclusive, meaningful engagement. What kinds of spaces allow care to flourish? How do grassroots movements reclaim and repurpose places for collective action, creativity, and healing? And how can nature and ecological thinking be part of urban care practices?

Through film and conversation, we explore how self-organized spaces and care-driven practices challenge dominant urban narratives, foster inclusive engagement, and raise critical questions about visibility, autonomy, access, and the right to shape the city.
