108 Kioski // Opening in Tampere market hall 1.6.

108 Kioski is an experiment calling makers of culture into the vacant spaces of market hall.

108 Kioski is driven by 108 collective, in collaboration with many partners, such as Mushrooming network of self-organized coworking spaces and Insurgent spatial practices researchers.

The experiment is based on recently launched The meanwhile use scheme (Välitilamalli) of Tampere city, where different kinds of vacant spaces are given to cultural uses, in response to applications.

While enlivening an empty corner of the market hall, 108 Kioski is also committed to collect a catalogue of cultural actors in Pirkanmaa region. Special focus is on matchmaking vacant spaces and people in need of them. For this we have put up together new listing possibilities to www.mushrooming.fi, that include Creative center (as something more versatile and larger than coworking spaces), Residency (as working spaces that also have accommodation) and Vacant space (to let others know of an empty promising premise you have found).

The events of 108 Kioski will consist of what emerges locally. Do you have an event to bring into the kioski? Or do you have an idea, but you are not sure how to do it? See more on how to act: https://www.tehdas108.fi/kioski

The opening of the kiosk is held 1.6. from 10-18, including a PopUp Art & Music Corner. Wellcome!
