Blog: Bottom-up urbanism at Nordic Geographers Meeting in Copenhagen

The 10th Nordic Geographers Meeting was held in Copenhagen on June 24-27, 2024.

At the conference, Antti Wallin and Mikko Kyrönviita organised a two-part session “Lessons from bottom-up urbanism for sustainable cities” that gathered enthusiastic researchers whose presentations delved into citizens’ and grassroots organisations’ roles in promoting sustainability and urban development in such diverse cities as Rotterdam, Tampere, Maputo, Blantyre, Lagos, and London.
