Impact

The Knowledge Centre for Real Estate Development actively presents the results of research and strives to operate impressively in the real estate and construction industry and more broadly at the level of society as a whole.

There is a central role for societal impact in the E3 project’s controlling of pandemics.

To achieve this goal, we are active communicators on our social media platforms, as well as publish newsletters, blogs and expert talks where we present our projects and the results obtained. Both partners and anyone interested in the matter can familiarize themselves with these.

In our operations, we strive to be active and at the heart of the matter. Such activities include the development of society, research work, communication of results and teaching the latest information to future decision-makers.

The KCRED is involved in social development activities. Cities, companies and agencies are often involved in our projects. Through cooperation, we have an excellent opportunity to influence the direction of the development of cities, the real estate and construction industry, and society.

The topics of our projects are often socially developing in themselves, such as Future Senior Housing TULE, which investigates housing for the elderly and its forms. The aging of the population is a social challenge, so the development of senior housing also develops society as a whole.

We offer organizations possibilities to try technology at practice as a part of the DigiCore project.

We participate in social debate through the topics of the projects. Current research topics and participating in the discussion around them are the goals of the KCRED research group. On the other hand, we start social discussion through our research, when we tackle the challenges of the future innovatively and through extensive cooperation.

In addition to scientific articles, we write articles that are close to practice for daily newspapers and professional magazines in the field. In addition, our social media publications are shared and our topics are also discussed on our partners’ social media. The communication group created for each project, through which we coordinate the project’s communication, helps in starting and continuing the social discussion.

Implementation of research results

The Knowledge Centre for Real Estate Development hopes to deliver projects and research results into the service of the people. To this effect, we publish our events, such as webinars and seminars on the Tampere University open innovative platform CoreLab’s YouTube channell.

The open cooperation platform CoreLab

CoreLab is an active participant in the KCRED, mostly in communication and event organization.

CoreLab’s project manager Jaakko Kinnunen is also the leader of DigiCore and is active in starting new projects for the KCRED.
