Teaching

The KCRED actively directs teaching in accordance with future change trends and strives to provide students with the latest researched information in their teaching. The KCRED cooperates extensively within companies and the university in order to enable a current and concrete teaching in terms of working life.

Several dissertation works are underway at the Knowledge Centre for Real Estate Development. Diploma theses are completed approximately 5–10 and bachelor’s theses 10–20 per year.

At the moment we teach on the following courses:

RAK.TA.420 Real Estate Development (50–70 students)

Core content of the course:

  • The behavior of real estate investment markets, the economic of real estate development project and risks
  • The real estate development process and its main tasks in related to land acquisition, zoning changes, financial planning and profitability assessment
  • Sustainable development in real estate development
  • Regulations of real estate investment markets and real estate development activities

RAK.RS.830 Circular Economy in Real Estate Development and Building Construction (50–70 students)

The course deals with the principles of the circular economy in real estate development and construction, the environmental effects of buildings and construction, the reuse and recyclability of various construction parts and materials, and the reduction of waste generated in construction.
