The Industrial Research Fund at Tampere University of Technology was established by Tampere Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its member companies in 1987. The main sources of income for the Fund are donations and bequests, which offer donors the opportunity to set up a named sub-fund.
Industrial Research Fund at Tampere University invited grant applications from doctoral students in the field of technology in October 2020. Grants were admitted to students who are pursuing doctoral degree in the fields of electronics or information technology and mechanical or automation engineering at Tampere University.
The Industrial Research Fund gave out grants from the Tuula and Yrjö Neuvo Fund to students who are pursuing a doctoral degree in the field of electronics or information technology at Tampere University. The amount of each grant depended on the stage of an individual applicant’s dissertation project and the total number of applicants. The total amount of funding available was approximately €50,000.
Karem Lozano Montero, MSc. (tech.), was awarded an encouragement grant from Tuula and Yrjö Neuvo Fund. She is pursuing her doctoral degree in ITC Electrical Engineering and focusing her research on the Development of Ultra-Thin Printed Sensors and Energy Harvesters.
