Aleksis Leinonen will focus on the fabrication of flexible electronics by screen printing with various ink and substrate materials. He will also perfom testing of mechanical and electrical properties of these fabricated flexible electronics.
Aashish Sah is working on the numerical analysis of printed piezoelectric structures. The intrest of his work lays in finding an optimal structural parameter that will give the best result and at the same time validate the observations from the experimental realisation of these structures.
Bruna Rodriguez is working on printed sensors and is researching the print parameters that affect the sensitivity of these piezo sensors. She is printing sensors with different parameters (during the poling) and performing sensitivity measurements in order to determine optimum parameters.
Paula Puistola is working with PDMS and nano silver in order to produce an inkjet printed multilayer device for soft and stretchable electronics. Her work includes fabrication, adhesion studies and performance characterization of the multilayer devices.
Vänni Panula’s work concentrates on testing and pre-stretching with a stretching device using different kinds of stretchable electronics as substrates.
All research assistants will be working at LFE until the end of August, except Bruna, who will be leaving on the mid June.
