Congratulations to MSc Hossameldin Elsayed for being one of the winners of the Photonics and Deep-Tech Idea Challenge Call 2024! The call looked for the best creative and innovative ideas for furthering competitiveness, sustainability and efficiency through photonics in Europe. Hossameldin’s idea of using widely tunable integrated lasers for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) detection in human breath for early detection of lung cancer was among the winners.
